Treasurer

Gregory Sim

Mr Gregory Sim has closed to 30 years of experience in finance and business management, particularly in the listed companies, real estate and hospitality industry in Singapore and across the regions. Mr Sim is currently the Deputy CEO of Haiyi Holdings Pte. Ltd.. Prior joining to the Haiyi, Mr Sim was the Group Chief Financial Officer of GuocoLand Limited and the Deputy CEO of SingHaiyi Group Ltd. Other previous senior management positions held include Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investor Relations with FEO Hospitality Asset Management Pte. Ltd, REIT manager of Far East Hospitality Trust and Deputy Director, Management Services of Far East Organisation. Mr Sim holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Merit) from Nanyang Technological University and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Gordon Tang

Mr. Gordon Tang is a distinguished leader in the sports industry, committed to advancing the Olympic movement in Asia and worldwide. Since 2015, he has served as Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and President of the Cambodia Sailing Federation. From 2021, he has been Executive Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia and Chairman of its Esports, Martial Arts and Mind Sports Committee. In 2022, he founded the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association in Singapore, the first MMA body in Asia officially recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia. A former professional athlete, Mr. Tang prioritizes industrial growth, talent development, and athlete welfare. Under his leadership, MMA was recognized as a medal sport in major continental events, including the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Saudi Arabia, and the Asian Games in Japan. As Chairman of the Esports, Martial Arts & Mind Sports Committee, he has spearheaded initiatives to integrate new-generation sports into the Olympic family, driving the launch of the Asian Esports Festivals, Asian Esports Summit, and community programmes. Eleven esports titles will feature at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Recognizing the rising importance of mental agility and intellectual competition, Mr. Tang has worked tirelessly to elevate mind sports as a respected discipline alongside physical sports. In February 2025, with strong support from the Olympic Council of Asia, he established the Asian Mind Sports Association in Bangkok. This landmark initiative set the foundation for the inaugural Asian Esports and Mind Sports Games in 2027, a platform designed to showcase Asia’s talent in chess, bridge, go, xiangqi, esports, and other strategic disciplines. Mr. Tang envisions mind sports not only as competitive pursuits, but also as powerful tools for education, cognitive development, and cross-cultural exchange—enhancing Asia’s role as a global hub for both athletic and intellectual excellence.

Galastein Tan

Galastein is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the sports industry and managing major sporting events. He previously worked with Sport Singapore and the Singapore Sports Hub, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s sporting landscape. At Sport Singapore, Galastein was involved in a variety of sporting initiatives aimed at inspiring and increasing sports participation and enhancing the nation’s sporting culture. At the Singapore Sports Hub, one of Asia’s premier sports, lifestyle and entertainment venues, Galastein was a key figure in managing large-scale international sporting events. His portfolio included overseeing high-profile marquee events such as the 28th SEA Games, the World Rugby Sevens Series, and FIBA events (Fédération Internationale de Basketball), among others. Galastein’s expertise in event operations, logistics, fan engagement, commercialisation and stakeholder management played a crucial role in ensuring the success of these events, cementing Singapore’s reputation as a world-class destination for international sports. Galastein is also currently the Director General for the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association.

Alimzhan Akayev (KAZ)

Mr. Alimzhan Akayev is the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan with extensive experience in international sports administration. Throughout his career, he has overseen cooperation with global institutions including the IOC, ANOC, and UNESCO, and has coordinated Kazakhstan’s participation in multiple Olympic and Asian Games. While his background is rooted in general and Olympic sports administration, Mr. Akayev recognizes the growing significance of Mind Sports as a key area of cognitive and cultural development. His interest in this field stems from a commitment to inclusive sports policies that integrate both physical and intellectual disciplines. With academic credentials in business and public administration from universities in the United States, and a professional focus on governance, diplomacy, and project development, Mr. Akayev brings valuable expertise to help advance Mind Sports on both national and international levels. Goals for the future of Mind Sports: •Support inclusion of Mind Sports in national sports events and programs. •Promote Mind Sports among young people through schools and local communities. •Support international collaboration and exchange in Mind Sports

Anmar Ahmadi (BRN)

Anmar Ahmadi is a professional accountant and business consultant. He is the founder and managing partner of Alfouz consultancy and auditing (“Alfouz”). Alfouz is engaged in forensic accounting, auditing, advisory, tax consulting and corporate support. Anmar is a certified public accountant from State of Delware- US. The chess career of Anmar has three dimensions. First, Anmar has assumed several managerial roles. He is currently the president of Bahrain Chess Federation since December 2024. Previously, Anmar was a member of Bahrain Mind sports Federation between 2009-2012. In that role, he assumed the role of vice chairman of chess committee. Prior to that, Anmar has founded the chess club at University of Bahrain during 2000 and assumed the role of Vice Chairman. Secondly, Anmar assumed different roles as a trainer. He was a chess coach at Slaman Cultural Center during 1999 which was integrating the youth into different sports games. Thirdly, Anmar was an active chess player during 1991-2001. He represented in Kingdom of Bahrain in number of overseas chess tournaments in Lebanon Germany, UAE and Yamen. He was also Bahrain Chess Champion under 12 years for 2 years 1991-1992. Future goals for Mind Sports: •Spread the mind sports in schools •Ensure fair distribution and equal opportunities (gender, religion, age) •Increase private sector contribution to the mind sports.

Maryam Jafari (IRI)

Ms. Maryam Jafari currently serves as the Director of the Education & Research Center of the NOC of the Islamic Republic of Iran and was the previous Director of the Olympic Solidarity Department. Ms. Maryam Jafari has experience organizing a variety of events to fulfill cultural, educational and social objectives which include: Olympic Day, International Olympic Education Symposium, Art and Olympic Festivals, Olympic Ambassador Programs and more recently, events targeted at promoting Mind Sports. As a Member of both the Women and Sport Commission and International Relations Commission of NOC Iran, her experience will contribute to the spread of Mind sports within Asia. Future Goals for Mind Sports: •Encourage Asian NOCs to establish specialized clubs and centers to promote Mind Sports in all age groups. •Educational promotion through designing training programs for youths to enhance their skills. •Development of Mind Sports infrastructure in Asia.

Ms. Dina Saad serves as the Manager of the Jordanian Olympic Preparation Program and the Olympic Preparation Center, leading strategic planning and coordination with national federations, elite athletes, and international partners to advance high-performance sports and Olympic readiness. With over 25 years of experience in program and organizational leadership across the Middle East, Gulf, and Africa, Ms. Dina Saad has directed regional initiatives, strengthened institutional capacity, and driven cross-functional collaboration. Ms. Dina Saad's work emphasizes innovation, impact, and sustainable development, both administratively and in athlete-focused environments. Ms. Dina Saad is passionate about promoting Mind Sports as a vital platform for cognitive development and strategic excellence, and I believe in its growing relevance within the Olympic and educational landscape. Goals for the Future of Mind Sports: •Build regional infrastructure and support systems for sustainable development. •Integrate Mind Sports into youth and talent identification pathways. •Position Mind Sports as a tool for intellectual excellence and competitive growth.
